Technical Assistance
The Medicare Policy Initiative is a nonpartisan group of Medicare policy experts at Georgetown’s Center on Health Insurance Reforms offering rapid turnaround analysis and technical assistance to policymakers on issues related to Medicare Advantage and Part D.
What We Offer
We provide independent, evidence-based insights and policy solutions to improve coverage, reduce costs and provide meaningful choices for Medicare beneficiaries.
- Technical Assistance for Policymakers: Confidential technical assistance on draft Medicare legislation, including specifications or bill language, and other timely analysis of legislation, regulations and executive orders that will impact the Medicare Advantage or Part D landscape.
- Policy Research and Translation: Research to support policymakers’ understanding of cost, coverage and choice, as well as translation and summaries of groundbreaking research with implications for Medicare.
- Resources and Tools: Easy-to-digest resources like fact sheets and primers on Medicare basics, as well as more technical overviews of specific policies, including MPI’s Compendium of Medicare Advantage and Part D Proposals.
- Briefings and Convenings: In-person or virtual briefings for individuals, offices and/or committee and caucus staff on issues related to Medicare Advantage.
